Our Team

Ovais Ahmed, LPC, NCC

I've been providing counseling services for over four years to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and their Christian faith. I am a firm believer that your past mistakes and/or current struggles do not define you. Due to my own experiences, I am able to relate to and empathize with most of the major issues that young and adult men struggle with and come alongside them to promote positive change using evidenced-based therapies as well as biblical truth.

In our sessions together, my goal is to help you feel seen and heard. We will work together to unpack and develop new tools to help you face life challenges, get unstuck, instill hope, and be the person you want to be.

I understand the stigma around reaching out for therapy but after seeking my own therapy and seeing the change and healing it brings, I can assure you that the stigma around mental health is absolutely false. There's only one way to find out, reach out to me and book your session! Let's talk.

One of my favorite quotes to encompass why I became a therapist:

“I would go to the deeps a hundred times to cheer a downcast spirit. It is good for me to have been afflicted, that I might know how to speak a word in season to one that is weary”. - Charles Spurgeon

Laura Ahmed, MSW, LCSW

“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.” -Brene Brown

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide counseling to couples facing a variety of marital challenges. These services aim to increase intimacy, manage conflict, and create a culture of mutual support and shared vision. I also provide pre-marital counseling to couples desiring to build upon strengths, prepare for challenges, and plan for their future together. Additionally, I work with the adult and young adult populations to address various concerns with a focus on relationship challenges.

My treatment philosophy is one that recognizes and values the individual as a multi-faceted being and seeks to address the needs of the whole person—biological, psychological, relational, and spiritual. My approach is integrative, drawing from various therapeutic methods such as the Gottman Method, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Christian Integrative Counseling is also available for clients who express interest in such services.

It is my goal for clients to conclude our first session together with a greater sense of hope. If all hope currently seems lost, that’s okay. I will meet you right where you are while simultaneously working with you to make hope feel more accessible.
